Virgin Atlantic

The A350 Experience

Monokoto was selected as the Customer Experience Design Partner for Virgin Atlantic’s A350 program, in service since 2019. We worked in close collaboration with the in-house design team and key suppliers to elevate and craft the experience for travellers on the new Airbus A350.

Our role encompassed creation of service principles and design of specific moments, originating designs for renewed onboard spaces, seating and accessories. We extended and upgraded the role of digital touchpoints in the new A350 experience.

Michelin

A global icon renewed

Monokoto partnered with Michelin to explore new product and service offerings for priority categories. Alongside the Michelin R&D team we developed new structures, and reformed the process of innovation within this industrial powerhouse.

As part of this engagement, Monokoto undertook the monumental task of re-sculpting Bibendum (The Michelin Man) in his role as the icon of trusted service in a new digitally enabled experience.

The Action Communicator

Milo is an entirely new category of communication experience. Seamless, handsfree, secure and robust. Conceived as an iconic wearable device - “the GoPro of Walkie Talkies” - Monokoto has worked with the founders of Milo since day zero to craft every aspect of the Milo experience.

  • The all-Italian Maserati MC20 hypercar feratures a hyper sound system from Sonus Faber.

    In partnership with FCA and Sonus Faber, Monokoto designed an expressive in-car entertainment UI based on U-connect.

Strategy and discovery of unique opportunities in the IOT

 
  • Working with Sony teams in Tokyo and in the UK, Monokoto partnered to develop the proposition for Sony MESH, and built a strategic framework which defined user experiences for a new range of IOT products and interfaces.

    MESH became the first new business unit at Sony since PlayStation.

PICO

Creating a VR business with a total brand and design language

 
  • Monokoto partnered with the Pico team in Beijing to name the business, and create a product, brand, app and interface design language for a fledgling industry in 2016.

    Pico was acquired by Bytedance - owners of TikTok in 2021.
